"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world..."
-Ephesians 6:12
At what point does a person's soul become unredeemable? That is the central theme in this violent new Drama by L. Henry Dowell.
BEYOND REDEMPTION is a western in the vein of THE SHOOTIST and UNFORGIVEN.
Simon Caudill is an aging gunfighter at the end of the road. Hated and feared by everyone he meets, he has returned to the town of his birth, a little no-where at the edge of the frontier called Redemption.
Simon only wants to live out his final days and seek the solace that has eluded him during his life.
When a kindly Christian widow takes him in, she decides to help Simon find peace. Although he resists her at first, the kindness she shows him begins to wear down his defenses. Is it possible that this "bad man" might actually find redemption after living a life of violence?
Unfortunately, forces are gathering that will force Simon back into his old life.
Will he pick up his gun and kill again? Or can he rise above his own nature to become something more, even if it costs him his life?
